Steffen Lehmann , Ph.D., AIA RIBA AoU, Director of the UNLV School of Architecture and expert on sustainable urbanism will the next Design Conversation Series speaker at the Liljestrand House Foundation. This event is sponsored in-part by SHADE Institute.
Lehmann will present his ten-strategies for urban regeneration. His book, A Manifesto: Regenerating Cities in the Age of Climate Change addresses the impacts of climate change and the process of transforming our cites into more sustainable and livable future cities.

The topic was on what it means to be a “citizen architect” today.

DOCOMOMO; IBM Building urban landmark preservation

Dean Sakamoto and Chipper Wichman, of the National Tropical Botanical Garden, led a tour of the Juliet Rice Wichman Botanical Research Center for the 19th Annual Build + Buy Green Conference on Kauai. the BRC is Kauai's first LEED-GOLD certified building The conference hosted by USGBC Hawaii and its partners, Hawaii State Energy Office, and DBEDT.
