Mason Architects was founded in 1998 as a successor firm of Spencer Mason Architects, originally established in 1984. Key members of the staff have worked together for more than 25 years. Our portfolio includes most of the preservation planning work in the Pacific, encompassing master plans, existing condition analyses, design guideline reports, historic structure surveys and inventories, cultural resource management plans, National Register nominations, and Historic American Buildings Survey (HABS) and Historic American Engineering Record (HAER) documentation.

The firm combines this expertise with the design of new buildings for commercial, office, educational, and residential use. We also have designed park visitor facilities on sites that are culturally, visually, and environmentally sensitive. We are committed to the principles of sustainable design and have five LEED Professionals on our staff.
